Trustee thanked for significant contribution

At our board meeting today we are saying goodbye to trustee James Phipps. James has been a trustee for Wiltshire Community Foundation since 2018 and during that time he has made a significant contribution to our organisation.

James, an entrepreneur, was born and raised in Swindon and joined the foundation due to our shared passions for helping young people succeed and tackling homelessness.

During his tenure, James had helped to shape our strategic direction and has been a member of our development committee advising on our philanthropy and marketing work. He has also been a huge champion of the foundation’s staff team and helped to develop our new mission, vision and values.

Commenting on his departure Joint Chief Executive Fiona Oliver said: “We would like to thank James for the huge contribution he has made to Wiltshire Community Foundation over the years. His knowledge, energy and passion have been invaluable as we have developed our new strategy and ambitious plans for the future.

“While James is stepping down as a trustee, we are delighted that he is still going to remain actively involved in the foundation as both an advocate for our work and a fund holder. We look forward to continuing to work together towards our vision to see more people thriving across Wiltshire and Swindon.”
