We need new trustees to help us carry on making a difference

Wiltshire Community Foundation is looking for new trustees to join our board and help us make a difference all over Swindon and Wiltshire.

This is an opportunity to help shape the foundation's thinking for the years ahead and to take an active role in supporting and nurturing small groups making vital contributions to the wellbeing of their communities.

Chief executive Rosemary Macdonald said: "The right people will not only possess a variety of skills, experience and interests they will also be based all over Swindon and Wiltshire to ensure we have representation from across the county.

"If you are interested in the county of Wiltshire and the borough of Swindon and want to help us raise income and provide support to people who need it most, we would be delighted to hear from you."

The foundation has three main areas of work, providing grants and support to the voluntary sector and individuals.  It also provides philanthropy services to donors who want to give to people in need through the foundation and it also champions the voluntary sector. "Trustees play an important role in helping us achieve that," Rosemary said.

Anyone who would like to help the foundation expand its networks, widen its appeal and share its expertise can look at the trustee application pack by clicking here, or contact Rosemary for more information on 01380 729284 or by emailing her at rosemary.macdonald@wiltshirecf.org.uk.

The deadline for applications is November 19, 2018, and interviews will take place the week commencing December 3.

Rosemary saaid “This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a contribution to the life of their community and to help those who really need support. There is so much amazing work being done in Wiltshire and Swindon but equally there is so much more to do and we need fresh energy and enthusiasm to help us get it done. I'm really looking forward to meeting our applicants.”
