University Bursary - One Degree More

Wiltshire Community Foundation University Bursary is available to young people from Wiltshire and Swindon who are under 25 and are about to start or are currently enrolled on an Undergraduate Degree course at a UK university. The bursary is £1,500 for each year of your course – with the possibility of an extra £500 for certain courses and/or situations. Once awarded, the bursary is paid for each year of the degree so long as circumstances remain the same.

To be eligible you must:

  • be aged between 17 – 24 years at the time of the application
  • have been resident for at least two years in Wiltshire or Swindon* (*If you are already at university residency refers to 'the family home')
  • your parents/guardians or yourself are claiming at least one means tested benefit 
  • be eligible for funding through Student Finance England 
  • plan to study a Higher Education course (undergraduate) at a UK university/ institution
  • be your first undergraduate degree 

Bursaries are awarded as a contribution to general living expenses, travel costs (excluding studying aboard), books and course costs whilst at university. 

Applications have now closed for for 2019/20 academic year.
