Join our board of trustees

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about Wiltshire and Swindon to join our board of trustees, as we enter an exciting new chapter.

Founded in 1975, we are one of the largest grant-giving organisations in Wiltshire and Swindon, and in 2023/24, we awarded over £2.1 million supporting more than 72,500 people across the county, tackling a wide range of local need. Throughout the past year, we have focused our work on addressing inequality, improving mental health and wellbeing, and supporting both children and young people, and older people.

As we enter our 50th anniversary, we are searching for new members to join our board of trustees and are particularly interested in those with a background in either accountancy or audit, or within the voluntary sector.

Trustees play a crucial role in guiding us, as we look to continue to inspire local giving and support community groups and the voluntary sector. Successful applicants will help to advise us as we embark on our new five-year strategy, which focuses on creating a brighter, more inclusive future through the critical role of philanthropy in local development.

Previous experience of sitting on a board isn’t required, nor is a university degree, and we encourage applications from those who wouldn’t usually consider themselves for the role.
